Mid-2022 seems like a CPU buyer’s market more than any time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Alder Lake chips offer stellar performance, while Ryzen chips have been deeply discounted to compete. And with the used market responding to higher supply and lower demand, deals can be found on eBay for good gaming chips prices as low as $75. Furthermore, Ryzen 5000 support for 300 series motherboards has just been introduced. With that said, here is the FTW Tech CPU Tier List, with chips ranked by their value in the current market.


*I used Cinebench R23 for the multi-core comparisons and UserBenchmark for the gaming performance (UserBenchmark can be heavily unreliable for new CPUs, and it miscalculated the 5800X3D’s performance, for example)
